Avoid the build up of daily aches and pains.
Alexander Technique sensitises you to deeply ingrained physical and mental habits. Once you have an awareness of these habits…you have a good basis on which to start building sustainable, effortless and confident movement. The Alexander Technique can be applied not only to specialised skills needed as a musician, actor or athlete, but also to everyday tasks. It can facilitate a more centred way of being…
Anthony Field, Virtuoso Classical Guitarist
I had repetitive strain injuries in my arms, shoulder and neck. Alexander Technique has gradually led my spine to straighten, open up and let go of old tensions. I am walking taller and straighter. I would recommend the Technique to anyone who is troubled by discomfort of any kind in their body.
The Technique has enhanced my life. I know that I am freer in relating to others, I have a better perspective on life and am prepared to try new ventures which I would never have considered before. I am also finding I seem to work more efficiently – less rushed but completing tasks more easily.
I confidently refer patients who present with back pain or neck pain to the Alexander Technique. The postural improvements are very impressive and this certainly impacts positively on symptoms of pain.
Dr Ian Rathmine, GP
When you are racing over distances of up to 50 kms, you have to be efficient. The Alexander Technique makes a difference for me. Since having lessons I feel lighter on my skis and going faster to the finish line. This last year has been my best ever and even in the Olympics I could apply the principles of Alexander Technique.
